Responsibilities
- Process and prepare shipping documentation, including bills of lading and commercial invoices, with 100% accuracy.
- Coordinate inbound and outbound freight, selecting the most cost-effective and reliable carriers.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and reconcile shipping logs daily.
- Communicate effectively with customers, sales teams, and warehouse staff regarding shipment status and delays.
- Ensure strict compliance with all local, state, and federal shipping regulations and safety standards.
- Manage vendor relationships and negotiate shipping rates where applicable.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Supply Chain or Logistics preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in shipping, receiving, or logistics coordination.
- Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar) is highly desirable.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent problem-solving abilities under pressure.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word).
