Responsibilities
- Coordinate and schedule inbound and outbound shipments to ensure timely delivery and optimal freight costs.
- Prepare and verify shipping documentation, including bills of lading, packing lists, and commercial invoices.
- Liaise with third-party logistics providers and trucking companies to resolve shipping discrepancies and delays.
- Monitor shipment progress using transportation management systems and update internal stakeholders accordingly.
- Conduct quality control checks on incoming and outgoing inventory to ensure accuracy.
- Manage freight audits and process claims for damaged or lost goods.
- Assist in the development and implementation of logistics best practices to improve operational efficiency.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is a plus.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in shipping, logistics, or freight forwarding.
- Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Manhattan Associates) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong understanding of international shipping regulations, Incoterms, and customs procedures.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to multitask in a high-pressure environment.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
