Responsibilities
- Oversee the end-to-end shipping process, including scheduling, preparation, and dispatching of goods.
- Coordinate with third-party carriers and internal teams to optimize shipping routes and reduce transit times.
- Prepare and verify all shipping documentation, including Bills of Lading, commercial invoices, and packing lists.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and perform regular cycle counts to ensure stock integrity.
- Investigate and resolve shipping discrepancies, delays, or damages immediately.
- Ensure strict compliance with local, state, and federal shipping regulations and safety standards.
- Utilize ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) to track shipments and generate performance reports.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, or Business preferred.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in shipping, logistics, or a related supply chain role.
- Proficiency in using shipping software and ERP systems (experience with Microsoft Dynamics or SAP is a plus).
- Strong attention to detail with exceptional organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends or overtime, if necessary.
- Physical ability to work in a warehouse environment and lift up to 50 lbs.
