Responsibilities
- Coordinate and schedule inbound and outbound shipments to ensure timely delivery.
- Prepare and verify shipping documents, including bills of lading, commercial invoices, and packing lists.
- Track shipments in real-time and resolve any logistical delays or issues proactively.
- Liaise with carriers, freight forwarders, and internal stakeholders to maintain accurate inventory records.
- Analyze shipping data to identify trends and optimize freight costs.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal shipping regulations.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, or Business preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in shipping, logistics, or supply chain management.
- Proficiency in logistics software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Manhattan) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to negotiate effectively.
- Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational and time management abilities.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
