Responsibilities
- Coordinate and schedule domestic and international shipments to ensure timely delivery.
- Track incoming and outgoing freight, monitoring transit times and resolving any delays immediately.
- Communicate effectively with carriers, vendors, and internal departments to resolve shipping discrepancies.
- Maintain accurate records in the Warehouse Management System (WMS) and shipping software.
- Ensure all shipping documentation is complete, accurate, and compliant with DOT and customs regulations.
- Manage vendor relationships and negotiate rates with 3PL providers.
- Analyze shipping data to identify trends and recommend process improvements.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Logistics or Supply Chain preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in logistics, freight forwarding, or supply chain coordination.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with transportation software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar).
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a high-pressure environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally.
