Responsibilities
- Coordinate domestic and international shipments via truck, rail, and air freight
- Prepare and maintain accurate shipping documentation (BOLs, customs forms, invoices)
- Track shipments in real-time using WMS/TMS systems and proactively address delays
- Liaise with carriers, customs brokers, and warehouse teams to ensure timely deliveries
- Optimize shipping routes and negotiate freight rates to reduce costs
- Manage inventory for shipping supplies and coordinate warehouse loading schedules
- Resolve shipping discrepancies and investigate claims/damages
- Stay current on DOT, IATA, and customs regulations
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of shipping coordination experience in automotive/manufacturing
- Proficiency with TMS/WMS systems (e.g., Oracle, SAP, Manhattan Active)
- Strong knowledge of Incoterms and customs documentation
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Forklift certification preferred
- Ability to work flexible hours including occasional weekends
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
