Responsibilities
- Coordinate and track incoming and outgoing freight shipments to ensure timely and accurate delivery.
- Prepare and process all necessary shipping documentation, including Bills of Lading (BOL), commercial invoices, and packing lists.
- Communicate effectively with carriers, vendors, and internal departments to resolve shipping discrepancies and delays.
- Maintain accurate records of shipment status, inventory levels, and delivery logs using logistics management software.
- Monitor shipping schedules and adjust routes or methods as necessary to meet critical deadlines.
- Assist in negotiating rates and selecting cost-effective carriers when applicable.
- Perform quality control checks on packaged goods before shipment.
Qualifications
- 1-3 years of professional experience in logistics, freight forwarding, or supply chain coordination.
- Strong knowledge of shipping terms, Incoterms, and various transportation modes (truck, rail, air, sea).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel for data tracking and reporting.
- Familiarity with logistics software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Manhattan, or similar) is highly preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a professional demeanor.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate degree in Logistics or Supply Chain is a plus.
