Responsibilities
- Coordinate inbound/outbound shipments across multiple carriers and routes
- Manage documentation including customs forms, bills of lading, and packing lists
- Track shipments in real-time using TMS platforms and provide proactive status updates
- Resolve shipping discrepancies and delays through direct carrier communication
- Optimize freight costs through carrier negotiations and route planning
- Maintain compliance with international shipping regulations and trade laws
- Collaborate with warehouse, sales, and customer service teams for seamless operations
Qualifications
- 3+ years experience in shipping coordination or freight logistics
- Proficiency with TMS systems (e.g., Oracle, SAP, or Descartes)
- Strong knowledge of INCOTERMS and international shipping regulations
- Exceptional problem-solving and communication skills
- Ability to manage competing deadlines in high-pressure environments
- Relevant certification (CSCP, CLTD, or CITT) preferred
- Proven track record of cost optimization and carrier relationship management
