Responsibilities
- Coordinate Logistics: Schedule, track, and manage inbound and outbound shipments to ensure timely delivery.
- Documentation: Verify accuracy of bills of lading, invoices, and shipping orders; resolve discrepancies immediately.
- Carrier Communication: Liaise with freight forwarders, trucking companies, and third-party logistics providers to resolve issues.
- Inventory Management: Maintain accurate records of shipped goods and inventory levels within the warehouse.
- Customer Service: Provide updates to customers regarding shipment status and handle inquiries professionally.
- Compliance: Ensure all shipping practices comply with local, state, and federal regulations.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Supply Chain or Logistics preferred.
- Experience: 1-3 years of experience in logistics, warehousing, or supply chain management.
- Skills: Proficiency with logistics software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar TMS) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional ability to review data and documentation for errors.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to negotiate effectively.
- Problem Solving: Ability to troubleshoot shipping delays and logistical challenges.
