Responsibilities
- Coordinate and track incoming and outgoing shipments to ensure timely delivery and accuracy.
- Prepare and verify all necessary shipping documentation, including bills of lading, commercial invoices, and customs forms.
- Communicate effectively with carriers, freight forwarders, and internal teams regarding shipment status, delays, and route optimization.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all logistics activities within the company database.
- Resolve shipping discrepancies and logistical challenges promptly to maintain high customer satisfaction.
- Assist in inventory management and warehouse organization to ensure efficient operations.
- Stay updated on industry regulations and best practices for domestic and international shipping.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, or a related field is preferred.
- 1-2 years of professional experience in shipping, logistics, freight forwarding, or a similar operational role.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with logistics management software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar ERP systems) is a plus.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs and stand for extended periods as required by warehouse duties.
