Responsibilities
- Coordinate and track incoming and outgoing shipments to ensure timely delivery.
- Prepare and process shipping documentation, including bills of lading (BOL) and commercial invoices.
- Communicate effectively with carriers, customers, and internal teams to resolve shipping discrepancies.
- Maintain accurate records of shipping logs and inventory levels.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal shipping regulations and safety standards.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and optimize shipping routes.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s degree in Logistics or Supply Chain preferred.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in shipping, logistics, or supply chain management.
- Proficient in transportation management systems (TMS) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
- Familiarity with DOT regulations and freight forwarding terminology is a plus.
