Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end shipping processes, including documentation, scheduling, and carrier selection.
- Ensure strict compliance with local, state, and federal shipping regulations and safety standards.
- Communicate effectively with carriers, customers, and internal teams to resolve shipping discrepancies and delays.
- Track shipments in real-time and provide accurate status updates to stakeholders.
- Assist in inventory management and warehouse organization to streamline operations.
- Optimize shipping routes and negotiate rates with third-party logistics providers to reduce costs.
- Prepare and maintain accurate shipping records and invoices.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in freight forwarding, logistics, or supply chain management.
- Proficiency in transportation management systems (TMS) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
- Valid driver’s license is required.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
