Responsibilities
- Coordinate and schedule domestic and international freight shipments to ensure timely delivery and cost-effectiveness.
- Prepare and verify all shipping documentation, including bills of lading, commercial invoices, and customs paperwork.
- Track shipment progress in real-time and proactively resolve any delays or logistical issues.
- Manage relationships with third-party carriers and negotiate shipping rates where applicable.
- Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal transportation regulations.
- Analyze shipping data to identify trends and improve operational workflows.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, or Business preferred.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in shipping, logistics, or freight forwarding.
- Proficiency in logistics software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar ERP systems).
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret shipping reports and data.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
