Responsibilities
- Manage Shipping Operations: Coordinate and track inbound and outbound shipments to ensure timely delivery and optimal routing.
- Documentation: Prepare and verify all necessary shipping documentation, including Bills of Lading, Commercial Invoices, and Certificates of Origin.
- Carrier Communication: Liaise with freight forwarders, trucking companies, and third-party logistics providers to resolve transit delays and issues.
- Data Management: Maintain accurate records of shipping schedules, costs, and inventory movements within our ERP system.
- Compliance: Ensure all shipping activities adhere to local, state, and federal regulations, including customs requirements and safety standards.
- Client Support: Act as the primary point of contact for clients regarding shipment status, providing updates and addressing inquiries professionally.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in logistics, supply chain management, or freight forwarding.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in logistics software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar).
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of Incoterms, import/export regulations, and customs procedures.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to negotiate effectively with carriers and vendors.
- Organization: Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Education: Associate degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, or Business Administration preferred.
