Responsibilities
- Coordinate and schedule the pickup and delivery of freight to ensure timely arrivals.
- Prepare and verify shipping documentation, including bills of lading, invoices, and customs forms.
- Monitor shipment status in TMS (Transportation Management Systems) and resolve any delays or issues proactively.
- Liaise with carriers, warehouse staff, and internal departments to maintain accurate inventory levels.
- Analyze shipping data to identify cost-saving opportunities and process improvements.
- Ensure strict compliance with all safety regulations and company policies.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Logistics or Supply Chain preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in shipping, logistics, or freight coordination.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with TMS software (e.g., HighJump, Manhattan, Oracle).
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to read and interpret shipping charts and schedules.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
