Responsibilities
- Coordinate and track incoming and outgoing shipments to ensure timely delivery.
- Prepare and process shipping documents, including bills of lading, commercial invoices, and packing lists.
- Liaise with carriers, freight forwarders, and internal teams to resolve shipping discrepancies and delays.
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date records of inventory movement and daily shipping logs.
- Optimize shipping routes and negotiate rates with vendors to reduce operational costs.
- Assist in the management of warehouse operations and receiving dock schedules.
- Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal shipping regulations.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in logistics, supply chain, or freight coordination.
- Proficiency in transportation management systems (TMS) and ERP software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar).
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for client and vendor interactions.
- Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record preferred.
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs occasionally and stand for extended periods.
- Problem-solving mindset with a focus on customer satisfaction.
