Responsibilities
- Coordinate and schedule inbound and outbound shipments to ensure timely delivery.
- Track shipments in real-time using logistics management software and resolve any delays or issues immediately.
- Prepare and verify shipping documents, including Bills of Lading, commercial invoices, and packing lists.
- Maintain accurate records of all shipments and inventory levels within the warehouse management system.
- Communicate effectively with carriers, drivers, warehouse staff, and clients regarding shipment status and expectations.
- Ensure compliance with all shipping regulations, safety standards, and company policies.
- Identify opportunities to optimize shipping routes and reduce freight costs.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, or a related field is a plus.
- Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in shipping, logistics, or a warehouse environment.
- Proficiency in logistics software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Manhattan, or similar) is highly preferred.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines simultaneously.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Basic computer literacy and data entry accuracy.
- Ability to lift moderate weights (up to 25 lbs) and stand for extended periods as needed.
