Responsibilities
- Coordinate and schedule domestic and international freight shipments, ensuring accurate pickup and delivery times.
- Prepare and process all necessary shipping documentation, including Bills of Lading, commercial invoices, and customs paperwork.
- Track shipments in real-time using TMS systems and proactively resolve any delays or logistical issues with carriers.
- Maintain accurate records of all freight movements, inventory levels, and shipping logs.
- Communicate effectively with warehouse staff, drivers, and customers to provide updates and resolve inquiries.
- Ensure strict compliance with local, state, and federal shipping regulations and safety standards.
- Collaborate with the sales team to ensure customer requirements are met efficiently.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Supply Chain Management or Logistics preferred.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in shipping, freight forwarding, or logistics coordination.
- Proficiency in logistics software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar ERP systems) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to verify data accuracy under tight deadlines.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in a high-volume setting.
- Valid driver’s license and physical ability to lift packages up to 50 lbs when necessary.
