Responsibilities
- Manage End-to-End Shipment Coordination: Oversee the scheduling, loading, and unloading of freight to ensure timely delivery.
- Documentation Control: Prepare and verify all necessary shipping documents, including Bills of Lading, commercial invoices, and packing lists.
- Carrier Communication: Liaise with third-party logistics providers and freight forwarders to resolve issues and track shipments in real-time.
- Inventory Accuracy: Conduct regular audits to ensure stock levels match shipping records and resolve discrepancies immediately.
- Customer Service: Act as the primary point of contact for clients regarding shipment status, delays, and delivery expectations.
- Problem Resolution: Proactively address shipping delays, damaged goods, and customs issues to minimize downtime.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Logistics or Supply Chain is a plus.
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in shipping, receiving, or logistics coordination.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with transportation management software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Manhattan) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to negotiate effectively with vendors.
- Attention to Detail: Ability to spot errors in documentation and data entry to ensure compliance.
- Driver's License: Valid Texas driver’s license and clean driving record.
- Work Ethic: Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines in a high-volume warehouse setting.
