Responsibilities
- Coordinate and schedule inbound and outbound freight shipments to ensure timely delivery.
- Prepare and process shipping documents, including Bills of Lading (BOL) and commercial invoices, ensuring 100% accuracy.
- Communicate effectively with carriers, drivers, and internal teams to resolve shipping discrepancies.
- Monitor shipment progress and track inventory levels to optimize warehouse space and workflow.
- Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal shipping regulations and company policies.
- Assist in the reconciliation of shipping costs and maintenance of accurate shipping logs.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Logistics or Supply Chain Management is a plus.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a shipping, logistics, or freight forwarding role.
- Proficiency in warehouse management systems (WMS) or transportation management software (TMS).
- Strong knowledge of DOT regulations and shipping documentation standards.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a problem-solving mindset.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
