Responsibilities
- Coordinate and schedule inbound and outbound shipments to ensure timely delivery and optimal carrier selection.
- Prepare, review, and process shipping documentation, including Bills of Lading (BOL), commercial invoices, and packing lists.
- Communicate effectively with carriers, warehouse staff, and clients to resolve shipping discrepancies and delays.
- Track cargo status in real-time and provide accurate updates to internal stakeholders.
- Maintain accurate records of shipping activities and inventory movements in the company's logistics management system.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal transportation regulations and safety standards.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, or Transportation preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in shipping, logistics, or supply chain management.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with logistics software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Manugistics) is highly desirable.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with a focus on clarity and detail.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize work under pressure, and meet strict deadlines.
- Familiarity with customs procedures and DOT regulations is a plus.
