Responsibilities
- Orchestrate Shipping Operations: Manage and coordinate inbound and outbound shipments, ensuring accurate documentation and timely delivery.
- Carrier Management: Select and negotiate rates with third-party carriers (UPS, FedEx, DHL) to optimize shipping costs and transit times.
- Inventory Control: Monitor stock levels and reconcile shipping manifests with inventory records to prevent discrepancies.
- Problem Resolution: Act as the primary point of contact for resolving shipping delays, damaged goods, and logistics issues.
- Compliance & Safety: Ensure all shipping procedures adhere to local, state, and federal regulations, including hazardous material guidelines.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in logistics, freight forwarding, or supply chain management.
- Education: High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Logistics or Business preferred.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a focus on customer service.
- Attention to Detail: Ability to maintain high accuracy in data entry and documentation processing.
