Responsibilities
- Coordinate and schedule inbound and outbound shipments, ensuring timely delivery and accurate documentation.
- Track shipments in real-time using logistics software and proactively communicate delays or issues to stakeholders.
- Manage and maintain accurate records of shipping manifests, bills of lading, and customs paperwork.
- Negotiate rates with freight carriers and select the most cost-effective shipping methods based on urgency and budget.
- Collaborate with the warehouse team to ensure inventory accuracy and proper packing procedures.
- Resolve shipping discrepancies and complaints with a focus on customer satisfaction and retention.
- Assist in the development and implementation of continuous improvement processes to enhance supply chain efficiency.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in shipping, logistics, or supply chain management.
- Proficiency with transportation management systems (TMS) and ERP software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar).
- Strong knowledge of domestic and international shipping regulations, Incoterms, and customs procedures.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to negotiate effectively with vendors.
- High level of attention to detail and strong organizational skills to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods in a warehouse environment.
- Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
