Responsibilities
- Coordinate and track all inbound and outbound shipments to ensure timely delivery and accurate documentation.
- Communicate proactively with carriers, vendors, and internal stakeholders to resolve shipping discrepancies and delays.
- Maintain comprehensive records of shipping logs, manifests, bills of lading, and delivery receipts.
- Process and verify shipping paperwork, including commercial invoices and customs documentation.
- Monitor shipping costs and analyze data to identify opportunities for process improvement and cost savings.
- Assist in inventory management by verifying stock levels and coordinating warehouse storage.
- Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal shipping regulations.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, or a related field is preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in shipping, logistics, or warehousing operations.
- Strong working knowledge of freight terms, shipping regulations, and transportation modes (LTL, FTL, air freight).
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced Excel skills for data tracking and reporting.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to negotiate effectively.
- Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally and stand for extended periods in a warehouse setting.
