Responsibilities
- Operate Material Handling Equipment: Safely and efficiently operate sit-down and stand-up forklifts, pallet jacks, and reach trucks to move materials throughout the warehouse.
- Load & Unload: Accurately load and unload trucks, ensuring cargo is secured and protected during transit.
- Inventory Management: Assist in counting stock, verifying quantities against bills of lading, and maintaining accurate inventory records.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere strictly to all OSHA safety regulations and company policies to maintain a zero-accident environment.
- Housekeeping: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area by sweeping, mopping, and organizing pallets.
- Equipment Maintenance: Perform daily pre-shift inspections on forklifts and report any mechanical issues immediately to management.
Qualifications
- Certification: Valid forklift operator certification (OSHA compliant) is required. If you are certified, please highlight it in your application.
- Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience in warehousing, logistics, or a similar industrial setting preferred.
- Physical Ability: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs frequently and stand/walk for extended periods.
- Reliability: Must be able to work a full-time schedule, including weekends and overtime as needed.
- Attention to Detail: Strong focus on accuracy when handling inventory and shipping documents.
