Responsibilities
- Safe Material Handling: Safely load and unload merchandise from delivery trucks and trailers, ensuring proper weight distribution and securing loads for transport.
- Equipment Operation: Operate material handling equipment, including forklifts, pallet jacks, and RF scanners, following all safety protocols and manufacturer guidelines.
- Inventory Verification: Cross-check incoming and outgoing shipments against purchase orders and packing lists to ensure accuracy and minimize errors.
- Facility Maintenance: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment by sweeping, organizing aisles, and removing debris.
- Quality Control: Inspect products for damage or defects before processing, reporting any issues to the shift supervisor immediately.
- Team Collaboration: Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to coordinate workflow and meet daily targets.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly, stand for extended periods, and navigate various terrains within the warehouse.
- Experience: Previous experience in warehousing, logistics, or general labor is preferred.
- Technical Skills: Basic computer literacy and ability to use handheld scanning devices.
- License: Forklift certification is a plus but not mandatory; we provide training.
- Reliability: Strong attendance record and a commitment to safety and punctuality.
