Responsibilities
- Load and Unload Freight: Safely load and unload trucks using forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks to ensure timely delivery of goods.
- Inventory Management: Verify incoming and outgoing shipments against packing lists to ensure accuracy and minimize errors.
- Safe Material Handling: Adhere to all safety protocols and OSHA guidelines while handling heavy pallets and boxes.
- Organization: Maintain a clean, organized, and orderly warehouse environment to facilitate efficient workflow.
- Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine inspections and basic maintenance on warehouse equipment, reporting any issues to management immediately.
- Documentation: Accurately complete necessary paperwork, including shipping logs and quality control forms.
Qualifications
- Experience: Previous experience in warehousing, logistics, or material handling is preferred but not required.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift up to 50-70 lbs repeatedly and stand for extended periods in a fast-paced environment.
- Availability: Must be available to work flexible hours, including weekends and overtime as needed.
- Attention to Detail: Strong ability to follow instructions and maintain high standards of accuracy.
- Background Check: Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent is preferred.
