Responsibilities
- Loading and Unloading: Safely load and unload trucks, containers, and freight onto pallets using forklifts and hand trucks.
- Packaging: Properly package, label, and prepare items for shipment to ensure they arrive at their destination in perfect condition.
- Inventory Management: Assist in maintaining accurate inventory records by scanning barcodes and performing cycle counts.
- Floor Organization: Keep the warehouse floor organized, clean, and free of hazards to ensure a safe working environment.
- Quality Control: Inspect goods for damage or defects and report any discrepancies immediately to the shift supervisor.
- Equipment Maintenance: Perform basic maintenance checks on warehouse equipment and report any malfunctions.
Qualifications
- Availability: Must be available to work overnight shifts (typically 10:00 PM - 6:00 AM).
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and stand for extended periods.
- Attention to Detail: Strong ability to follow instructions and maintain high standards of accuracy.
- Communication: Basic verbal communication skills; ability to understand and follow safety protocols.
- Documentation: Ability to read and comprehend safety labels and operational logs.
