Responsibilities
- Load and Unload Freight: Safely and efficiently load and unload trucks and trailers using appropriate equipment (hand trucks, pallet jacks, forklifts).
- Inventory Management: Accurately check and verify incoming and outgoing merchandise to ensure inventory accuracy.
- Order Fulfillment: Pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment in accordance with company standards.
- Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine inspections and minor maintenance on warehouse equipment to ensure safe operation.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere strictly to all OSHA safety regulations and company safety policies at all times.
- Housekeeping: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in the warehouse and dock areas.
- Team Collaboration: Communicate effectively with team leads and fellow employees to ensure smooth daily operations.
Qualifications
- Experience: Previous experience in a warehouse, logistics, or manufacturing environment is preferred.
- Physical Stamina: Must be able to lift up to 50+ pounds repeatedly and stand/walk for extended periods.
- Availability: Must be available to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays if required.
- Documentation: Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening.
- Attention to Detail: Strong focus on accuracy and quality control when handling inventory.
- Equipment Operation: Ability to operate basic warehouse machinery (forklift certification a plus but not always required).
- Communication: Basic reading and writing skills; ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
