Responsibilities
- Safely Load and Unload Freight: Utilize forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks to move materials efficiently between dock and storage areas.
- Inventory Verification: Check incoming and outgoing shipments against packing lists to ensure accuracy and prevent errors.
- Maintain Equipment: Perform routine inspections of warehouse equipment and report any maintenance needs immediately.
- Adhere to Safety Protocols: Strictly follow OSHA guidelines and company safety policies to maintain a hazard-free environment.
- Order Fulfillment: Pick, pack, and stage orders accurately to meet shipping deadlines.
- Keep Facility Clean: Organize the warehouse floor and ensure aisles are clear to prevent accidents.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma: A high school diploma or GED is preferred.
- Physical Ability: Must be able to stand, walk, lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly, and work in varying weather conditions.
- Experience: Previous warehouse or logistics experience is a plus, but training is provided for the right candidates.
- Attention to Detail: Strong focus on accuracy when handling inventory and paperwork.
- Communication Skills: Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions clearly.
- Forklift Certification: Valid forklift certification is highly desirable.
