Responsibilities
- Operational Leadership: Oversee daily warehouse operations, including receiving, inventory control, picking, packing, and shipping to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
- Team Management: Supervise, train, and mentor a team of warehouse associates, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
- Safety Compliance: Enforce strict safety protocols and OSHA regulations to maintain a zero-accident workplace.
- Process Improvement: Identify operational bottlenecks and implement process improvements to reduce costs and increase throughput.
- Inventory Management: Conduct regular cycle counts and audits to ensure stock accuracy and minimize shrinkage.
- Equipment Maintenance: Coordinate the maintenance and safety checks of forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment.
- Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for logistics partners and internal stakeholders regarding shipments and schedules.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in warehouse operations, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or lead role.
- Education: High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Logistics or Supply Chain preferred.
- Licensure: Valid Forklift Operator Certification (must be willing to obtain if not currently certified).
- Skills: Strong proficiency in Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and inventory software.
- Leadership: Demonstrated ability to lead teams effectively and handle conflict resolution.
- Physical Demands: Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 lbs frequently throughout the shift.
- Software: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook) and inventory management software.
