Responsibilities
- Operational Leadership: Oversee the daily workflow of the warehouse, including receiving, picking, packing, and shipping activities.
- Team Management: Recruit, train, schedule, and mentor warehouse staff to maximize productivity and morale.
- Safety Compliance: Enforce strict adherence to OSHA safety regulations and company policies to maintain a safe working environment.
- Inventory Control: Monitor stock levels, conduct cycle counts, and manage inventory discrepancies to ensure accuracy.
- Process Improvement: Identify bottlenecks in current processes and implement strategies to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
- Reporting: Prepare and analyze operational reports, such as daily production logs and performance metrics.
- Equipment Maintenance: Coordinate the maintenance and calibration of warehouse equipment, including forklifts and scanners.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, or Business preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in warehouse operations, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or lead role.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and inventory software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite).
- Physical Demands: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, and work in various weather conditions.
- Soft Skills: Strong communication, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Certifications: Valid forklift certification and safety training certificates are a plus.
