We are seeking a highly organized and results-driven Warehouse Supervisor to join our dynamic logistics team in Jersey City, NJ. Responsibilities
- Oversee daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, order picking, packing, and shipping to ensure timely and accurate deliveries.
- Manage and mentor a team of warehouse associates, providing training on safety protocols, equipment usage, and standard operating procedures.
- Ensure strict compliance with OSHA safety regulations and company policies to minimize accidents and maintain a safe work environment.
- Maintain accurate inventory records through regular cycle counts and audits, utilizing warehouse management systems (WMS) effectively.
- Coordinate with inventory control and logistics teams to optimize stock levels and resolve discrepancies promptly.
- Conduct daily briefings and performance reviews to drive team productivity and morale.
- Ensure the proper maintenance and organization of warehouse equipment and storage areas.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field is a plus.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in warehouse operations, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or lead role.
- Valid forklift certification and experience operating powered industrial trucks.
- Strong understanding of inventory management principles and WMS (e.g., SAP, Manhattan, NetSuite).
- Proven ability to lead, motivate, and train a diverse workforce.
- Excellent organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and overtime as needed.
