Responsibilities
- Supervise daily warehouse activities including receiving, storage, order fulfillment, and shipping
- Train and lead a team of 10-15 warehouse associates on safety protocols and operational procedures
- Optimize inventory management systems to maintain accurate stock levels and minimize discrepancies
- Implement lean principles to enhance workflow efficiency and reduce operational costs
- Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and company safety standards
- Coordinate cross-functional communication with transportation, purchasing, and customer service teams
- Generate performance reports and implement continuous improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- 3+ years of warehouse management experience in a distribution center environment
- Proven track record of team leadership and performance management
- Proficiency in warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory control software
- Strong problem-solving skills with ability to resolve operational challenges
- Forklift certification and thorough knowledge of material handling equipment
- Excellent communication skills with ability to train and motivate diverse teams
- Flexibility to work alternative schedules including early mornings, evenings, or weekends
