Job Summary
The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily warehouse operations, managing staff, and ensuring inventory accuracy and safety compliance. You will be the bridge between upper management and floor operations, ensuring that our logistics processes run smoothly and efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Operations Management: Oversee the daily workflow of the warehouse, including receiving, storing, picking, packing, and shipping of goods.
- Team Leadership: Manage, train, and mentor a team of warehouse staff, conducting performance reviews and fostering a positive work environment.
- Inventory Control: Monitor inventory levels, conduct cycle counts, and implement strategies to minimize shrinkage and maximize efficiency.
- Safety Compliance: Ensure strict adherence to OSHA safety regulations and company policies, conducting regular safety audits and equipment inspections.
- Process Improvement: Identify bottlenecks in the warehouse process and implement solutions to improve workflow and reduce downtime.
- Staff Scheduling: Create and manage shift schedules to ensure adequate coverage during peak hours.
- Equipment Maintenance: Coordinate the maintenance and repair of warehouse equipment, including forklifts and pallet jacks.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in warehouse management, logistics, or a related field.
- Leadership: Proven experience leading teams and the ability to communicate effectively with staff at all levels.
- Certifications: Valid Forklift Certification and OSHA 10/30 General Industry training.
- Education: High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Supply Chain Management or Business preferred.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, and work in various weather conditions.
- Availability: Must be available to work flexible hours, including overtime and weekends as needed.
