Responsibilities
- Operational Leadership: Oversee all daily warehouse activities, including receiving, picking, packing, and shipping to ensure 100% order accuracy and timely delivery.
- Team Management: Recruit, train, schedule, and mentor warehouse staff, fostering a positive and safety-conscious work culture.
- Inventory Control: Manage inventory levels through regular cycle counts and stock audits, utilizing WMS systems to maintain data integrity.
- Safety Compliance: Enforce strict adherence to OSHA safety regulations and company policies, conducting daily safety briefings and incident reporting.
- Process Improvement: Analyze operational workflows to identify inefficiencies and implement solutions to reduce costs and increase productivity.
- Equipment Maintenance: Coordinate the maintenance and calibration of warehouse equipment, including forklifts, conveyors, and racking systems.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in a warehouse supervisory role within the logistics or distribution sector.
- Education: High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Supply Chain or Logistics is a plus.
- Certifications: Valid Forklift Operator Certification and OSHA 10 or 30 training preferred.
- Skills: Proficient in using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) such as SAP, Manhattan, or NetSuite.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively lead and motivate diverse teams.
- Availability: Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, nights, and overtime during peak seasons.
