Responsibilities
- Operational Leadership: Oversee all daily warehouse activities, including receiving, picking, packing, and shipping to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment.
- Safety Compliance: Enforce strict safety protocols and OSHA regulations to maintain a zero-accident workplace environment.
- Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels, conduct regular cycle counts, and manage stock accuracy to prevent discrepancies.
- Team Management: Recruit, train, mentor, and evaluate warehouse staff, fostering a culture of productivity and engagement.
- Process Improvement: Identify operational bottlenecks and implement strategies to improve workflow efficiency and reduce costs.
- Shift Coordination: Schedule warehouse personnel effectively and resolve operational issues during shifts.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of supervisory experience in a warehouse, distribution, or logistics setting.
- Education: High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree or equivalent experience preferred.
- Certifications: Valid forklift certification and familiarity with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) such as SAP or Manhattan.
- Skills: Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities with a focus on safety.
- Availability: Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
