Responsibilities
- Oversee and coordinate daily warehouse activities, including receiving, stocking, and order fulfillment.
- Manage a team of warehouse staff, providing training, mentorship, and performance evaluations.
- Implement and enforce strict safety protocols to ensure a secure working environment for all employees.
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with purchasing to prevent stockouts or overstocking.
- Optimize warehouse layout and workflow procedures to maximize efficiency and reduce costs.
- Conduct regular quality control checks on incoming and outgoing shipments.
- Prepare accurate reports on daily operations, labor hours, and inventory variance.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Logistics or related field preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in warehouse operations, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
- Valid forklift operator certification and knowledge of material handling equipment.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Proficiency in warehouse management software (WMS) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and overtime as needed.
