Responsibilities
- Operational Leadership: Direct and coordinate daily warehouse activities, ensuring efficient workflows and optimal use of space and resources.
- Team Management: Hire, train, mentor, and supervise a diverse team of warehouse staff, fostering a culture of safety and accountability.
- Safety & Compliance: Enforce strict adherence to OSHA regulations and company safety policies to maintain a zero-accident workplace.
- Inventory Control: Monitor inventory levels, oversee stock accuracy, and manage cycle counts to prevent shrinkage and discrepancies.
- Performance Reporting: Analyze operational metrics, prepare daily/weekly reports, and implement continuous improvement strategies.
- Equipment Maintenance: Oversee the maintenance and repair of warehouse equipment, including forklifts and conveyor systems.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED required; Associate degree or Bachelor’s in Logistics or Business preferred.
- Experience: Minimum 3-5 years of experience in warehouse operations, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership capacity.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) such as SAP, Oracle, or Manhattan.
- Forklift Certification: Valid forklift operator certification is mandatory.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present information clearly.
- Physical Demands: Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 lbs regularly in a warehouse environment.
