Responsibilities
- Operational Oversight: Monitor daily warehouse activities, including receiving, storage, and shipping processes, to ensure maximum efficiency and throughput.
- Team Leadership: Supervise, train, and mentor a team of warehouse associates, fostering a culture of safety, accountability, and high performance.
- Inventory Management: Conduct regular inventory counts, manage stock rotation, and implement procedures to minimize shrinkage and loss.
- Safety Compliance: Enforce strict adherence to OSHA safety regulations and company policies to maintain a safe working environment for all employees.
- Process Improvement: Identify operational bottlenecks and implement process improvements to streamline workflows and reduce costs.
- Equipment Maintenance: Coordinate the routine maintenance and inspection of material handling equipment, such as forklifts and pallet jacks.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Supply Chain or Business preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in warehouse operations, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or leadership capacity.
- Skills: Proven track record in inventory control and logistics management.
- Certifications: Valid forklift operator certification (Forklift License) is mandatory.
- Technical Proficiency: Strong computer skills, including proficiency in WMS (Warehouse Management Systems) and MS Office Suite.
- Soft Skills: Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills with the ability to work under pressure.
