The Role:
As a Warehouse Supervisor, you will oversee daily warehouse operations, manage inventory, and lead a team of logistics professionals. You will ensure that safety standards are met, equipment is maintained, and shipments are processed accurately and on time. Responsibilities
- Team Leadership & Training: Supervise, mentor, and train warehouse staff to ensure high productivity and adherence to company policies.
- Inventory Management: Monitor stock levels, conduct regular cycle counts, and manage incoming and outgoing shipments to ensure accuracy.
- Operational Efficiency: Optimize warehouse layouts and workflows to maximize storage space and streamline fulfillment processes.
- Safety Compliance: Enforce strict safety protocols and conduct daily safety inspections to maintain a hazard-free working environment.
- Equipment Oversight: Manage the maintenance and utilization of warehouse equipment (provided by company) including forklifts, pallet jacks, and conveyors.
- Quality Control: Inspect incoming and outgoing goods for damage or defects and coordinate returns or repairs as necessary.
- Reporting: Generate and analyze daily/weekly reports on inventory levels, labor hours, and operational performance.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in warehouse operations, with at least 1-2 years in a supervisory or lead role.
- Education: High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, or Business preferred.
- Skills: Proficient in Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and inventory control software.
- Certification: Valid Forklift Operator Certification and OSHA 30-hour certification is highly desirable.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively lead a diverse team.
- Physical Demands: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly and stand for extended periods. Must be able to work in various weather conditions (warehouse environment).
