Responsibilities
- Operational Leadership: Direct and coordinate daily warehouse activities, including receiving, put-away, picking, packing, and shipping to ensure 100% order accuracy and on-time delivery.
- Team Management: Recruit, train, mentor, and schedule warehouse staff. Conduct performance evaluations and foster a culture of accountability and teamwork.
- Safety Compliance: Enforce strict safety protocols (OSHA standards) to maintain a zero-incident work environment. Conduct daily safety audits and equipment inspections.
- Inventory Control: Monitor inventory levels, manage stock discrepancies, and implement best practices for inventory accuracy and organization.
- Process Improvement: Identify bottlenecks in workflows and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce operational costs.
- Equipment Maintenance: Oversee the maintenance of warehouse equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks, conveyors) and coordinate repairs as needed.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in warehouse operations, logistics, or supply chain management. Previous supervisory experience is required.
- Education: High school diploma or GED required; Associate's degree in Business or Logistics is a plus.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with WMS (Warehouse Management Systems) and basic computer skills (Excel, Microsoft Office).
- Certifications: Valid Forklift Operator Certification (or willingness to obtain within 30 days).
- Soft Skills: Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate staff under pressure. Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Physical Demands: Ability to stand for extended periods, lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs), and work in various weather conditions.
