Responsibilities
- Operational Oversight: Manage daily warehouse activities, including receiving, stocking, picking, packing, and shipping orders to ensure 100% on-time delivery.
- Safety Compliance: Enforce strict adherence to OSHA safety regulations and company policies to maintain a safe working environment for all employees.
- Team Leadership: Recruit, train, schedule, and supervise warehouse staff, conducting performance reviews and providing mentorship to foster a positive team culture.
- Inventory Control: Monitor inventory levels, conduct regular stock counts, and implement strategies to minimize shrinkage and reduce waste.
- Process Improvement: Identify bottlenecks in current workflows and implement solutions to improve productivity and reduce operational costs.
- Equipment Management: Ensure the proper maintenance and utilization of forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 2-4 years of supervisory experience in a warehouse, logistics, or fulfillment center environment.
- Education: High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Supply Chain or Business preferred.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and inventory software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Manhattan).
- Certifications: Valid Forklift Operator Certification (Class A or B) is required; CDL preferred.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, and work in various weather conditions.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to lead team meetings and interact with upper management.
