In this pivotal role, you will oversee daily operations, ensuring that our supply chain runs smoothly, safely, and cost-effectively. You will be responsible for mentoring staff, optimizing workflows, and maintaining the highest standards of safety and compliance.
Responsibilities
- Operational Leadership: Oversee daily receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
- Team Management: Supervise, train, and motivate a diverse team of warehouse associates, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
- Inventory Control: Monitor stock levels, conduct regular cycle counts, and implement inventory control procedures to minimize shrinkage.
- Safety Compliance: Enforce strict safety protocols and OSHA regulations to ensure a safe workplace for all employees.
- Process Optimization: Identify areas for improvement in warehouse processes and implement solutions to increase productivity and reduce costs.
- Equipment Maintenance: Ensure the proper care and maintenance of forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment.
- Reporting: Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports regarding inventory levels, staff performance, and operational metrics.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in warehouse operations, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
- Education: High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, or Business preferred.
- Skills: Strong knowledge of inventory management systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) and warehouse management software.
- Certifications: Valid Forklift Operator Certification (CP) and Supervisor Safety Certification preferred.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with all levels of staff.
- Problem Solving: Strong analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot operational issues and implement effective solutions.
- Physical Demands: Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 lbs frequently throughout the shift.
