Responsibilities
- Operations Management: Oversee daily warehouse activities, including receiving, inventory storage, picking, packing, and shipping to ensure accuracy and timely delivery.
- Team Leadership: Manage, mentor, and train a diverse team of warehouse associates, fostering a culture of safety, productivity, and engagement.
- Safety Compliance: Enforce strict adherence to OSHA safety regulations and company policies to maintain a safe and accident-free work environment.
- Inventory Control: Monitor stock levels, conduct regular cycle counts, and manage inventory discrepancies using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
- Process Improvement: Identify bottlenecks in current workflows and implement efficient strategies to optimize warehouse operations and reduce costs.
- Equipment Maintenance: Coordinate the maintenance and repair of warehouse equipment, including forklifts and conveyor systems.
- Reporting: Generate and analyze operational reports to provide insights to upper management regarding performance metrics and goals.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in warehouse management or logistics operations, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
- Education: High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, or Business preferred.
- Leadership: Proven ability to lead teams effectively, resolve conflicts, and drive performance improvements.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with WMS (e.g., Manhattan, SAP, Oracle) is highly desirable.
- Certifications: Valid Forklift Operator Certification and a valid driver’s license.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of collaborating with cross-functional teams.
- Attention to Detail: Strong organizational skills with a focus on accuracy in inventory and shipping documentation.
