Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage the daily operations of the warehouse, ensuring efficient workflow and timely order fulfillment.
- Implement and enforce strict safety protocols and OSHA compliance standards to maintain a accident-free workplace.
- Lead, train, and mentor a team of warehouse staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
- Monitor inventory levels, conduct regular stock counts, and manage stock discrepancies to ensure accuracy.
- Coordinate shipping and receiving activities, verifying incoming and outgoing shipments for accuracy and quality.
- Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for warehouse tasks and equipment usage.
- Manage personnel scheduling, performance evaluations, and disciplinary actions as necessary.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in warehouse management or a similar supervisory role.
- Proven experience with inventory management systems and logistics software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, WMS).
- Forklift certification and the ability to operate heavy machinery safely.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively across all levels.
- Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) and stand for extended periods.
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Logistics or Business preferred.
- Knowledge of OSHA safety regulations and warehouse safety best practices.
