Responsibilities
- Operate Material Handling Equipment: Safely and efficiently operate sit-down forklifts, reach trucks, and pallet jacks to load, unload, and move materials throughout the warehouse.
- Inventory Management: Accurately pick, pack, and stage orders according to shipping manifests and pick lists, ensuring 99.9% inventory accuracy.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere strictly to OSHA safety regulations and company protocols, including conducting pre-shift equipment inspections and reporting hazards immediately.
- Zone Organization: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment by sweeping, organizing aisles, and ensuring proper labeling of stock.
- Team Collaboration: Communicate effectively with the team lead and shift supervisors to coordinate workflow and resolve any logistical challenges.
- Load Preparation: Secure loads properly using straps, shrink wrap, and bands to ensure products arrive at their destination without damage.
Qualifications
- Certification: Valid and current Forklift Operator Certification (OSHA compliant) required.
- Experience: Minimum 1-2 years of experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or distribution center environment.
- Schedule Availability: Must be available to work weekends (Saturday and Sunday) and occasional holiday shifts.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly, and perform physical tasks in varying temperatures.
- Attention to Detail: Strong focus on accuracy, safety, and adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
