Responsibilities
- Load and Unload: Safely load and unload shipments from trucks using forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks in our temperature-controlled environments.
- Inventory Management: Verify incoming and outgoing goods against purchase orders, maintaining accurate stock levels in the warehouse.
- Cold Storage Handling: Ensure proper storage protocols are followed to maintain product integrity in refrigerated and frozen units.
- Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine checks on warehouse equipment and report any maintenance needs to the supervisor immediately.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all OSHA safety regulations and company policies to ensure a safe working environment for all employees.
- Packing & Labeling: Properly package and label products for distribution, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
Qualifications
- Experience: Previous experience in a warehouse, logistics, or cold storage environment is preferred but not required; on-the-job training provided.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly, and work in varying temperature conditions (from 30°F to -10°F).
- Availability: Must be available to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- License: Valid driver's license and forklift certification (Class A or B) are a plus.
- Reliability: Strong work ethic, punctuality, and the ability to work well in a team setting.
- Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
