Responsibilities
- Maintain precise temperature control and humidity levels in -20°F to 40°F environments
- Operate refrigeration systems and conduct preventative maintenance checks
- Execute efficient pallet movement using electric pallet jacks and forklifts
- Implement strict FIFO inventory rotation and quality control protocols
- Adhere to OSHA, FDA, and USDA safety standards for food handling
- Document operational metrics and equipment performance logs
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams for seamless logistics coordination
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years' experience in cold storage or refrigerated warehousing
- Valid OSHA 10-hour certification and forklift operating license
- Ability to work in sub-zero temperatures for extended periods
- Strong attention to detail in inventory management systems
- Physical stamina to lift 50+ pounds and stand for 8+ hours
- Basic knowledge of HACCP principles and food safety protocols
- Availability to work flexible shifts including nights/weekends
