Responsibilities
- Load and Unload: Safely load and unload trucks and containers containing frozen and refrigerated goods, ensuring product integrity is maintained.
- Inventory Management: Accurately count, sort, and organize inventory items using handheld scanners or inventory management systems.
- Temperature Control: Monitor and record temperature logs for storage units and transport vehicles to ensure compliance with health and safety standards.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere strictly to all safety protocols, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and forklifts.
- Order Fulfillment: Pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment with speed and accuracy.
- Facility Maintenance: Assist in maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work environment, reporting any equipment malfunctions immediately.
Qualifications
- Experience: Previous experience in warehousing, logistics, or cold storage environments is preferred but not required.
- Physical Demands: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly, stand for extended periods, and work in cold environments (below 40°F).
- Availability: Must be available for full-time shifts, including weekends and holidays as needed.
- License: Valid Forklift Operator Certificate is a plus.
- Communication: Strong verbal communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
